Looking for small, cheap control valve
Continuous process industries, DCS questions. topic
Posted by Nico Oosthuizen on 29 September, 2003 - 11:43 pm
I am looking for a cheap, small (flow rate in the order of a common garden sprinkler/tap) control valve... Any ideas?

The automation project that I am busy with is running on a VERY tight budget and I am going to need about 200 - 250 of these valves.

Plus, any ideas how to interface with these valves (would I need a PLC?) and how can I try to minimize the copper required?

Thanks!

Nico

Hello Nico,

Don't know what you mean by "cheap, small" control valve, but take a look at these:

http://www.kmccontrols.com/pdf/1ds235.pdf

They are powered by 24VAC and for either floating or 0-10VDC proportinal control.

Good luck,

Zvi
