HI!
I have a weighing balance. I also have the specification of RS-232 Interface, that is Baud Rate, starting bit etc.. Now i want to make my pc communicate with the weighing balance using visual basic. Please i'm quite new in this field, can anybody help me. Is there any sample program for interfacing such peripheral with pc available?please please it is very urgent!

You must engineer a Routine on VB6 with the MScomm Component (very easy)
...create ownself a Cable
(is easy, you need 2 rs232 connector and 100 Cm. Telephon Cable, you must use only 3 Pin on the two Connector (it is without Handshaking)but you will receive what the weighing balance display on a String) else you kann buy a Cable DTE-DTE price is about 5.- Euro.
so you connect the PC with the weighing balance and read what the weighing balance displayng on Your PC with a Textbox.

Sir but to communicate with my balance, should i set the baud rate and so on, the same in both the pc and the weighing instrument? which serial port to use on my pc sir please?
