Multi protocol Scada

I need to implement a SCADA system and I chose Wonderware from In touch. I chose too the DNP LAN as the driver that will provide connection between SCADA and the RTU device. All the system mounted over a Industrial Multiport computer Windows based.

But on other hand, I want to take advantage of that system for built a open DB for others applications take the data they need. For example, Manteinance programs for engineers.

The question is, Since I´ll have a DNP master and one or more others drives slaves:
Can I do that without drivers conflicts?
Where is the key? In the Operating System?

I would suggest that if your DNP Master is a PC then log you data to MS Access Database using the Wonderware Application. That way the different departments has access information they need for reports, etc....

We assume that you're using DNP3 DDE Server as the protocol I/O driver, therefore you could just connect your multiple DDE Client to this DDE Server.

There will be no conflict at all.

The key is on the utilized protocol I/O driver.
