BASIC09

Hi,

Anybody familiar with BASIC09?

I have some files using BASIC09 for my Honeywell MINICOP module (comm between Allen Bradley & Honeywell).

My problem is I never use BASIC09 and I have to use it. I've tried searching it in the net but not much of luck.

I need to know at least how to open the files...

TQ.

Guest,

Basic09 was the Basic interpreter used on Microware OS9. IPC/Honeywell used that operating system on their communications processors in the 80´s. If I remeber correctly Basic09 was an integrated environment so you would want to get your hands on a manual. I highly doubt that they are available in electronic format. Since the IPC products are today owned by Honeywell your best bet would be to contact them directly.

Regards

Not sure how much help this will be but there was a Basic09 written for use under OS-9 used on the Radio shack color computer which used a 6809 processor. You might do a web search for color computer or OS-9 information and news groups.

I've searched the internet. I've found some guys with the skill in the programming. They even have this newsgroup to my surprise. Unfortunately not many of them are active.
I've contacted some of them but until now no reply.
Honeywell is the first person I asked and the answer that I got was they also sometimes require days to configure a minicop using the BASIC09.

Not many familiar with this software.

The Honeywell manual we have is:
Form No. 627-8994 (7/85)
INDUSTRIAL PROGRAMMABLE CONTROLLER
BASIC09/RUNB USER MANUAL
It contains 99 pages describing BASIC09 (the language), RUNB (Execution environment) and methods to load, save, etc.
