i have a Honeywell Experion PKS server and i want bi-direction data exchange between EPKS and third party OPC server. can any one give me guide line on same step by step?

You will need to procure a license from Honeywell to accomplish this. Honeywell sells several flavours of OPC licenses. Some just do point data exchange, like numerics and digital states. The other license does events, such as alarms.

I have used both, and they work very well. One Event license was used to extract data to a PAS Integrity Server, the other to an OSI PI Server (bi-directional) and also a Total Plant Batch Server.

Below are the two license types I am refering to:
1 OPC Alarm & Event Server Connection
1 OPC Data Access Server Connection

Well, all you need is the following items licensed in Honeywell:
1- OPC Data Access Server
2- OPC Integrator w/ Transport Enabler

OPC Data Access Server License will enable you to access the Honeywell Database which is (ERDB/EMDB). OPC Integrator will map the tags from the local database of Honeywell (ERDB/EMDB) to the remote OPC Server tags for read/write functionality. You can create groups in OPC Integrator as you create in any OPC server and in each group you can have several tags reading and/or writing to the destination OPC Server. I hope this will be helpful for you.

Remember, however, that there have been significant numbers of reports that Honeywell OPC servers are incompatible with standard OPC software available from third parties. Check with Honeywell FIRST, because that will eliminate the possibility that it might not work. Honeywell has always been very responsive to customer questions and issues.
