Orifice Plate Sizing

Please, can anyone tell me how to calculate the size of an orifice plate? I have a diameter for the SS pipe and flow rate in the pipe. What I need is how to calculate for the correct size of the orifice plate to use. This is just for a restriction orifice.

Urgently required, please.

You can likely find a number of simplied calculations on the internet. However, this may not be as simple a procedure as you may think. There are lots of varibles such as pressure drop, fluid type, wear, noise, etc. I suggest you contact someone who makes orifices and let them either size or help you size the correct device. There is a free trial download. The program is aimed at flow measurement orifices but you can iterate your calculations to size a RO.
