Vijeo Citect HMI shopping list

Hi,

Am very new to the Vijeo Citect scada software. However, i am considering using this software to make a basic scada system i.e with pump & valve control, alarming, and report generation.

i realise schneider have all range of the vijeo product(Citect full, 75 point; Display client, Historian, license key e.tc)

what basic software combination do i need to purchase to make a functional scada

Assuming you only want a single workstation, you only need a single VijeoCitect Full license. You only would use a Display license if you want to have several PCs all viewing the same SCADA system at the same time.

VijeoCitect includes a historian, alarming, and simple reporting engine. VijeoHistorian allows you to easily transfer real-time data from Citect to a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 database. It also includes more advanced report building tools, and connectors for other popular database products.

This is a realtime control and monitoring software and support major Protocols and PLC Vendors, so this could be a big cost saver + they have good reference aslo.
