Twido and OPC

Hi,

I'm totally beginner in automation.
I have build an house, and install a twido (TWDLCAE40DRF, with a lot of extension) to manage all my light and windows store.

Everything is working very fine, I have made the Twido programmation and all is OK.

Now, I would like to 'supervise' my twido from my PC, or better, control it trough internet.

Do you know how I can do that ? Is there some free, simple, software that can do that ?

I have heard a 'OPC server', what is it, is it helpful for me ?

You can use TCP/IP Modbus. I have one in my home, connected to my ADSL router, to control the lighting with DALI. I use LabVIEW from http://www.ni.com to read/write bits/words with TCP/IP Modbus.

OPC is a program that can talk serial, TCP/IP Modbus and many other protocols, and you can use tags in your program to access the real data from PLC.

Do you have electrical drawing of your home to send me?

In what country do you live? I live in Iceland (EUROPE).

I'm Venezuelan, i'm trying connect Labview with twido using OPC server. you did exactly what I need, send and receive data from labview to Twido.
