Programming Software for *.mwp fies

I've just been placed at a customer's site to help fill in for a person who will soon be on medical leave.

We have a machine "on-the-way" that was purchased used (FMC Filler). From what I've been able to gather, it uses a small "brick-style" fixed I/O plc of either the Siemens or TI variety. Details here are sketchy and the machine is in transit for at least another week.

Does anyone know which programming software may have produced files with the ".MWP" extension?

I orginally thought it would be S7-200 Micro/Win Explorer but that package does not recognize the file (he types as he writes via "Safe-Mode w/networking").

MWP = MicroWin Project (Siemens). You probably just have the wrong version. For reasons best known to Siemens, you always have to have a version which is the same or newer than the version with which it was written even if it makes no difference to the program itself. This is one of the most annoying things about this program (other than that, it's nice software and a nice PLC).

Yes it is a Microwin program. First, try to import this program in Microwin because maybe the version is different.

Step 7 MicroWin does produce file with a MWP extension. Whether or not it creates this file I have no idea.
