PID with Pressure Sensor

Hi everyone!

I have an AC Drive which has PID interface. one of my client wants to use the pressure sensor 1 to 20mbar, and wants motor speed controlled by drive with help of pressure sensor. Sensor has 4~20ma, but the problem is I do not know exactly how to use my inverter PID with sensor. So to understand basics of PID with sensor, could anybody help me out, or can tell me best site for understanding PID? So that in future it could help me out to use PID with any type of sensor.

Waiting for your kind reply! My email is rahat159 @ gmail. com

To answer your specific question, feed the 4-20mA signal to the PV input on the PID controller. From the output of the controller (usually another 4-20 mA signal), feed this in to the drive as the remote setpoint (RSP). The drive may have a voltage input rather than a mA input. You can correct for this with a dropping resistor.
