Please advice how can we send analog signal 4-20 mA for one level transmitter by existing fiber optic cable 15 km length to controlling 3 pumps that pumping to the reservoir where the level exist >

A media converter can change formats. For example, one might have an RJ45 Ethernet port and a fiber connector. Put one on each end for Ethernet connectivity over fiber.

A 4-20 signal is analog and fiber is digital, so you'll need some sort of A->D converters. There might be all in one devices to do this.

One option would be to put an Ethernet PLC out by the pump. It would use analog I/O locally. The Ethernet port would plug into a media converter that sends the signal back via fiber. On the other end you have another PLC/PC/Whatever plugged into Ethernet into a similar media converter.

Thank you for your reply.

I would like to verify that you mean that we need to send the 4-20 mA to media converter have RJ45 ethrenet port.

My question is how can we convert the 4-20 mA analog signal of the level transmitter to Ethernet port RJ45 for media converter?

Ignacio - Excelent solution, have you experience with these? I like the multiplexer on page 22 of the brochure
