Has anyone used this scada software, if so, what was/were the most biggest difference compared to e.g. FactoryLink, Citect, WinCC etc?

I am very familiar with Citect and recently made aware of ClearSCADA features. It is very good for utility market applications because of vector based graphics, object templates and support for telemetry protocols.

ClearSCADA is excellent. After only an hour or so of using it you will love. It is very intuituve, everything is drag and drop (for HMI based work) and you can make extensive use of templates for 'design once, use many' type scenarios. It speaks many different protocols, so you can talk to just about anything, and also supports OPC from the ground up, so it integrates beautifully with higher level enterprise applications such as PI etc.

Third party extension applications or middleware can be developed easily using COM, OPC, or XML, and the system can support VBScript internally, making mimics 'intelligent'.

All the others are way behind.
