ANSI & DIN Flanges

Hello,

I am checking some vendor quotations in my current project. In this project we have specified all the flanges standard according to ANSI. While I have heard that flanges with DIN standard with the same size and rating doesn't comply with the ANSI ones. For example their shapes are not the same, exactly.

So, in checking the quotations how can I understand that the flanges are according to DIN or ANSI?

I have heard that if there is for example 3", 300#, RF, then it is according to ANSI. If there is for example DN50, PN100, RF then it is according to DIN. Is it correct?

Your kind reply is highly appreciated.

Hi,

it is partly right. there are ANSI and DIN flange, and also EN, BS, UNI, JIS flanges.

3" 300# RF=3inch class 300 ANSI raised face flanges

DN50 PN10 = 50mm 10pounds DIN flanges, but DN50 PN10 can also be UNI OR EN FLANGES.

it is my answer as per your message. if any question, you can email me. we are a flange factory from China, which supply all kinds of standard flanges.
