Hello

Do anybody have the details of KTK Thyristor drives?.. On the board i could see only FAC 1R & THY 1R. its a very old drive & think the origin is UK.

Actually am getting a fault LED "Ins. Trip".

If anybody can guide me ...please

thanking in advance

Usually there is a semiconductor fast acting fuse that may be blown, or else maybe a resettable circuit breaker?

KTK changed their name to Control Techniques in the 1990s. For information visit http://www.controltechniques.com. Control Techniques are able to offer Mentor II DC drives as a replacement for the KTK product that you are using.

Hello. Did you come across an answer for the inst trip question on a KTK board on a Bridgeport interact?

Ins trip means excessive current at enable.

This can be caused by a number of things including SCR failure or ground fault on motor, however if this is a re installation check phase sequence.

This drive must have the correct phase sequence RYB, if not it will trip Ins.

and be sure the electronics supply originate from the same phases as the power. (later drives like Mentor have automatic phase sequence system)
