Hi everyone
Can anyone tell me how to determine the size of a run capacitor of a single phase motor. The start capacitor rating is available.

Responding to Prakash Lackhee's Mar 17, 1:41pm query... I can send you an excerpt of a table in C.S. Siskind's book:

"Electrical Machines, Direct and Alternating", McGraw-Hill, 1952.

Caution! If you try to replace it by trial and error, the wrong size may inadvertently produce a series-resonant circuit! This type of circuit will cause dangerously high currents to flow!
