I am trying to find out some information about the Honeywell EBI system....perhaps you can help me.

I am trying to determine if a remote database can be hooked into the EBI data base and more so - can I then read the data from specific sensors remotely- namely IAQ related -temp, RH and CO2.

Do you have any examples of this being done with an EBI system?

Please advise.

What type of controller are you planning on using for the remote database? As for the remote monitoring it is possible through EBI R310 with Web Client. It has to be an outside IP. I have had trouble with proxy addresses. The single remote monitored points can be created in quick builder which is part of EBI. Let me know how you plan on bringing the points into EBI. Fore example what type of controller or what type of protocol.

You can read any point's PointValue, PointState (if digital) or PV from the EBi using the proper IP interface. Contact me for further info.

Hi,

I am looking to place an EBI system on the front end of a JC system with 7 NCUs.

Any ideas? I am currently looking at Fieldserver products.

It is not possible to attach a remote database with EBI application. Instead you can use any open connectives such as OPC, BACNET for fetching data from other application server or BACNET/LON sensors. This would be ideal way to get data from remote server/device.

EBI has APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) for integrating products that don't support any of the native interfaces being Bacnet, OPC, Modbus, LON.

If your product doesn't support any of these native interfaces then our company can help, with Honeywell, develop one for you.
