HMI operator mode

In our plant recently we made a modification on the HMI display using Cimplicity to visualize one valve, this modification was done on a screen file ending with .cim everything was ok when the page was opened in the administrator mode but when the operator mode was selected the above modification was not there in that particular page. I would like to know if the above modification has to be done in the screens with .ctx file system also. Or is there any procedure to get the above modification into operator mode without editing there separately?

Seeking the opinion from anyone in the control room but expecting a reply also from the one and only MKV expert in the control room ‘the markvguy’.

Thanks in advance,

Brian

The screen changes should be able to be seen by anyone if made in the project folder. The difference between .cim and .ctx is that .ctx can be modified using test program like notepad and .cim can't. Make sure if multiple servers are being used that changes are made to Cimplicity projects.

The screen that is opened in oper mode is generally different than the screen opened in administrator mode.

These are controled by the startup options of Windows.

While logged in as administrator -> go to the profiles folder and find the name of the screen that is loaded during oper profile startup.

Cut and paste your changes to that screen as well.
