We have an application where we have 3 rooms that we want to link via a REDUNDANT fibre optic network with maybe 8 ethernet ports at each point. The catch is we would like a complete 1 Gig network, fibre and ethernet ports. I cannot seem to find this product. Some offer 1 Gig fibre side and 100 MB ethernet, but not 1 Gig all round. Any suggestions?
If you haven't already, I'd check out Hirschmann's line of products. They have redundant 'ring' type switches that you can configure for what type of interfaces you need.
I suppose you are not really looking form ring but a redundant fiber connectivity. Contact S. I. Tech, they have a switch with 1 GB dual uplink ports else write to me sales@sitechindia.com and I will get you the necessary information.
