I am looking for a reasonably priced, and easily learned PC based HMI software. I want the software to run on a Windows XP Pro platform, on a PC Located in the machine Panel. The software must have multiple users and security levels that are configurable. Any recommendations?

Try FactoryPMI from Inductive Automation. I would recommend waiting for the next release next month (Oct 07) with SQLTags - it will make development easy.

Maybe you can try to learn Intouch 9.5, I think it is a easy-to-use HMI software!

 

Try GEs Cimplicity. It has drivers for any PLC and is a really nice platform. I am more of an AB guy but am getting converted. My only issue sometimes with Cimplicity is that you can have too much control of devices which can make it a little more difficult to set up some simple items.

 

I don't think intouch is cost effective....
