We need to set up an Ethernet link between a machinery house and a mobile cabin, for real-time remote I/O scanning and HMI refresh.
The distance is about 500 feet and we have a shielded twisted pair available. We need 25mb throughput minimum, and cannot afford data flow interruption for more then 250ms.
The Patton 2172 Ethernet Extender seems to meet our needs.
Has anybody experimented with this model for real time control? Any other product suggested?
