Connecting Unity with iFIX
PLCs topic

Looking for comments on the Connection of Schneider Unity Processors with iFIX. There is the Factory OPC Server, but what other OPC server will support these controllers. Also, has anyone utilized the original MODBUS addressing converting this topological addressing.

I have found that the EASIEST and most efficient OPC server for any UNITY application is the Schnieder OPC server. You can download it and try it as a demo. It works GREAT!

I do not work for them, I just happen to like the product.

We also have a project with a Unity Premium (TSX-P57 4634) processor and a iFix 4.0 system, we have the OPC server from Schneider, but would like to see a smart manual about how to setup the communication (with some examples), it would save me and my collegues a lot of time.

So if anybody can point me in the right direction, it will be much appreciated.

The Matrikon OPC Server for Modbus should provide the connection you require. The link to the product is:
