please can any one explain to me the starting control for the ge gas turbine 9E during firing, warming, speed control, load control and temperature control and what is the effect of the compressore inlet temperature on the load?

Jamal,

SO *many* questions. If you have a GE packaged Frame 9E heavy-duty gas turbine you have service manuals which contain some very informative descriptions of all of the control functions you have asked about. And, the Control Specification which would also be a part of the service manual has specific descriptions of each of the functions.

If you're new to GE-design heavy-duty gas turbine-generator operation, you should read the available documentation and be specific about your questions. We could answer your request very simply by saying that the operator selects a mode of operation (usually AUTO), and if all the start-check permissives are met, then clicks on START. When the purge is complete, fuel will be admitted and the ignitors will be energized. Once flame is established and a warm-up period is complete, the fuel will be increased to accelerate the unit at a uniform rate until it reaches approximately 100% speed. When synchronization is complete, the unit can be loaded manually or automatically until it reaches CPD- (or CPR-) biased exhaust temperature control, which will maintain a constant firing temperature regardless of ambient conditions.

As for compressor inlet temperature's effects on load, cooler air has a higher density. When operating at Base Load, cooler ambients mean higher loads (more air means more fuel can be burned). If you plot output while being operated at Base Load versus ambient temperature for a continuous 24-hour period you will see that the unit will produce slightly more power when the ambient temperature is lower than when it's at its highest during the day.

Now, if you have specific questions about portions of any of the above, we can try to answer. But the answers to your general questions above would fill a good-sized book!

Thank you Mr. CSA,

I didn't ask about the operation procedure. I am asking about the FSR_FI, FSR_WU, FSRACC, FSRN
and FSRT, how it does in the control sequence logic program for the unit. And can you tell me what is the effect of the CPR on the exhaust
temperature control?
