I work as a lead engineer in proposals group of a middle east automation SI.
Recently I have come to know that we require as many number of RSView SE client licenses as are the number of total "thin clients" on the network. My preconceived notion was that only "one" RSView SE client license is loaded on Microsoft Windows terminal server for "all" thin clients.
The question is that do we need seven RSView SE Client licenses for seven thin clients?
If the answer to above question is 'Yes' then where is the cost saving that everyone talks about in a client/server architecture? Don't tell me that the only cost saving is in terms of thin client's hardware cost.
