P125-N125
Continuous process industries, DCS questions. topic

We've been battling a p125-n125 overvoltage alarm since November 2006. We have an OSM, and looking back at alarm history, the first time it came in was when we replaced the TCDA card for 'S' in the Q core. It came in when the core was powered back up then not again until Feb 2007. Since then, it has come in more and more frequently and occasionally giving us a generator ground alarm. We also are getting starting motor amps and high temp alarms/trips when the starting motor is not running. We don't see anything on the LodTrak. We've pulled off all of the contact input jumpers and haven't found anything. The p125-n125 alarms don't seem to come in when we are shutdown. They mainly come in when we are at 95% speed and while running.
