Communications systems and equipment. topic

I have a Panelview600 2711-T6C5L1 RS232(DH485)which i can't interface with a Micrologix 1200. I have a 1761-NET-AIC module but dont know the pinout convertion from the Panelview to the DH-485 connector in the module. Is there an specific cable for that?? Can it be done?? Anyone knows how??.

Use the 1761-CBL-HM02 from the PLC to the AIC+.
Use the 1761-CBL-AS03 (or AS09) cable from the HMI to the
AIC+.(2711-T6C2L1 - Check to see if the C5 is the same connector.)

Make sure the Panelview is configured for 485, not 232. Make sure the
node address is different than the PLC.

The PLC port must be configured for 485. The default is 232 (DF1).

All the cable pin outs can be obtained from the A-B website if you dig a
bit.

The PV600 CONTAINS A DB9 CONNECTION POINT. Does anyone knows the pinout to connect it to the AIC+ DH485 PORT (CHA,CHB,GND).

I am pretty sure the asnwer is you cannot do so directly. The DB9 port is RS232. The DH485 port is RS485.

It is pretty staightforward. The AB website has manuals that will tell you how to do it, and they will happily sell you the cables. The cable pinout
is in the manuals.
