from the Automation List department...
WEG devices and MODBUS/RTUI have been searching for information about WEG and drivers from OPC Servers or SCADA HMI, but did not find anything...
I hope someone has already had some experience with this brand.
WEG supports their software to monitor and edit parameters from their soft-starters and frequency inverters through RS485 network over MODBUS/RTU protocol.
But what I want is to process that data into some OPC server or the SCADA I already own, which is AFCON PCIM 7.50.
I am using these WEG devices in order to control feeders, asphalt pumps, and other equipment in an Asphaltic Plant.
I´ll appreciate in help in this matter.
Thanks!

I suppose no one is familiar with this type of devices from WEG?
What about any device like inverters and soft-starters from another vendor... if they support MODBUS/RTU, how can I be able to retrieve data from them into the SCADA or by using any OPC server?
Thanks!

Although we have not tested with these particular Modbus RTU protocol devices you should be able to 95% of the Modbus RTU protocol devices with Kepware's Modbus Driver suite. Some devices use a modbus like protocol and are therefor not able to be comunicated with. You can download a full functioning demo of KepserverEx and the Modbus driver suite from http://www.kepware.com.
