Softnet OPC help
Human-Machine Interface and SCADA. topic
Posted by Maurizio on 6 December, 2007 - 10:27 pm
Hello - I've some machine equipped with S7/300 & 400 - I haven't the PLC sw source project but I have the DB tables printed on paper.

I'd like to read some variables inside those PLCs for statistical purposes.

I installed and configured Softnet, used NetPro, NCM and Station Cfg Editor to setup the link between HMI PC and the PLC (using standard ethernet card).

Now I'm at the point where I should test read/write my first tag. So I opened OPC Scout, connected to the Softnet OPC server, created a new group: now I have to add my tags but don't know the addressing syntax!! PLS HELP!!!
