I am Electrical Engineer passed out in 2007. I have a question regarding the DCS and PLC. My question is...

If I have joined an automation industry working with a particular DCS/PLC, and worked there for some period of time and later wanted to switch over to some other automation industry using some other DCS/PLC, is it possible for me to do that?

I hope to get an appropriate answer for my question soon...

 

Certainly it is.

You will need to learn the differences between the type of DCS or PLC system you have been working with, and the one you will work with at your new
company. I suggest you think about learning the new system in your spare time...you can add that familiarity to your resume and make yourself more
attractive to prospective employers.
