from the Instrumentation and control department...
Instrumentation and control suites?Dear all,
my Instrumentation and control department requires a sort of suite to manage instrumentation and control activities, from instrument list to datasheets, from junction boxes to marshalling and so on.. to the DCS tags.
I need basically to connect all the documentation so that I can, when needed, update just a document (for example a junction box) to have the other documents updates (for example the concerning cables).
Can you suggest something to me?

When you find it, let us know. This is the Holy Grail of operators and maintenance people. People are working on it. Intergraph is working on it. Dassault Systems and Rockwell have just established a partnership to produce one. But I don't know of one that is vendor neutral and works with all types of automation systems yet.
If somebody does, please let me know, so I can write about it.
