Suggest you contact the OPC Training Institute...run by a bunch of recently ex-Matrikon engineers, they have excellent classes, tutorials, and may even provide service. http://www.opcti.com

You need to describe the problem in a bit more detail, but it sounds like you still have DCOM issues.
If you can connect to the OPC Server, but the OPC Client can not read data (assuming you're using subscriptions), it means the DCOM permissions on the client are not correct.
You can find the whitepaper on setting DCOM permissions on XP SP2 at this link:

1. Which client are you using to connect to OPC Server?
2. Are you doing the process of adding groups and items in the client?
3. Your client must be giving you some COM error code. Can you identify and tell me that?
4. Suggest you also post this question on http://www.opcfoundation.org/forums. This forum is frequented by OPC Gurus and is a better place for OPC related queries.
