Card Reader Security on a Motoman Robot
I'm looking into a security system using Card Readers (HID cards) to act as the Security log in tool for our Motoman Robot Cells. (NX100 Robot controllers, ControlLogix PLC, HMI is PC running Iconics).
The real issue is integration. The Card reader is the easy part. Using an external device to change the security levels in the Robot is where I am expecting issues. Just researching this and looking for ideas and options. For now I will probably just disable the Servos in Manual Mode unless someone is at a high enough security level.
