Can anyone explain to me what is meant by 3.2.1 and 3.2.0 philosophy in SC300E ESD system, and what is the difference between the two when using this philosphy?

 

It is a term referring to redundancy concept of safety shutdown systems.In 3.2.1. architecture if 3rd processor fails the system can run with 2 processors and if succesively the 2nd processor fails, still the system runs with 1 processor.so it is said as 3-2-1.In case of 3.2.0 all the above said is similar except it does not go up to 1 processor level.That means, the system needs atleast 2 processors.
