GE MARK V boards

Hi there,

I am not an expert in GE MARK V boards. So, I would appreciate, if someone helps me to know what exactly the differences of a board with those "AA" (or other combinations)at the end of MARK V boards are. In other words, if I replace a
DS200TCCAG1BAA with DS200TCCAG1B, then will the new board have exactly the same functionality? Or there will be a problem?

Thanks,

I believe the last two characters, AA from your example (DS200TCCAG1BAA), are just "minor" revision levels. The four-character "board name", TCCA from your example, followed by the three-character "group" number, G1B from your example, are the most important designations to consider when replacing cards. In your example, you could replace the AA with a BC and everything would probably be just fine.

But, as with everything related to GE Speedtronic turbine control systems, the only absolute is that there are no absolutes.

I've seen cards purchased from GE for spare parts inventory after the original panel was installed which have much "higher" minor revision levels than the cards originally supplied with the panel, but they work just fine when installed in the panel.

CSA is correct. The last few hex numbers are revision codes. Problems can occur if one attempts to place a newer PROM revision in an earlier board revision. GE maintains a list of boards and compatible PROMs.

To CTTech:
BAA = 2.11 ,B = 2.0, AA = 1.1, and BC = 2.3
Higher revisions generally will be compatible while earlier revisions might not.

Best regards,
CTTech
