can i use twido plc to connnect for telemetry radio that has a serial interface to create a simple SCADA involving multiple PLCs. if not, what telemecanique PLCs can i use to create a scada that has telemetry radios from GE MDS radios with serial interface.

Any other suggestions of alternative Telemetry radios to use with telemecanique PLCs will be welcomed

Of course. Almost any PLC with a serial port can be connected via radios...the radios are in fact just replacing the comm cable. Make sure you get the right comm cable, however - the Twido has a mini-DIN port, as does the Tele Premium PLC, where the Quantum PLC has a DB9.

I have had particular luck with Phoenix Contact radios - excellent quality.

Hi,

I noticed that the Phoenix radios operate in the 900Mz. This is the GSM primary band in my country. Are there any Phoenix radios that operate in the non-GSM frequency band but have Modbus RTU protocol?

Give http://www.prosoft-technology.com a try - they have a fairly wide range of radio products.

Almost all products that advertise 900MHz service in North America can be reset to use 868MHz in countries where 900MHz is otherwise assigned. Ask your supplier if this is true for the products you would like to use.
