I have an aplication with a safety PLC with redundant safety outputs and a MCC drawer with Simocode. The simocode is controlled by simplex profibus and also has a "trip" input. So now I'm not whether I need a safety relay to "trip" the corresponding power consumer.
I assume I need a safety relay since these are SIL rated objects.
The application will be used in the offshore industry for the Norwegian sector.
Can somebody clarify which regulations are applicable?
