I need to communicate from a Momentum 171-CCS-760-00 PLC with a JNN-210-32 (485 Adaptor module). I am communications to ABB ACS550 drives with RS485 Modbus. i can only seem to send data to the drive and not receive data.
using modbus slave software i am able to send a command from the PLC using an XXMIT block. message is 3-3-5-1-100(MB func, no of words, slave addr, addr, plc addr) when the plc port 2 is configured for RS232 i can send the message to the MB software and read the responce on the plc. when port 2 is configured for RS485 i can see the messages being sent to the software but no responce is received at the plc. not sure if it is a wiring problem or software.
any assistance will be appreciated.
Regards
Stanley
