USB2.0 to RS422I need to find a way for my laptop to communicate with an RS422 device. The RS422 device needs to operate around 2MBits/sec. I could use either USB 2.0, PCMCI or firewire. Is there a company that I can purchase this 422 device?
Thanks

I use PCMCIA card from Quatech (http://www.quatech.com) model SSP-200/300 it creates a Com Port on the Laptop that can be used as RS422 or RS485. I have it for 2 years and has been working smoothly.
Hope this can help you.

If you find one that runs at 2Mb, please post the source here.
I have seen those that run at ~920Kb, but that's only half of your desired baud rate.
