We are experiencing problems with deltav database. It crashes once in a while so we need to recovery the backup.
We are suspecting that the installation using an windows domain can be causing this and other problems. So we are thinking to change to a workgroup.
Does anyone have ever experienced these kind of problems?

I have been running DeltaV for 4 years in a domain... not the problem.

Anytime somebody writes to the list with issues like this, I am compelled to point out that you need to contact your vendor. In this case, Emerson has a worldwide service organization and some very good software engineers who can probably tell you a lot more than we can. Especially since the information you gave us isn't enough to understand what the problem might be.

Hi Luciano,
I checked with some of our folks to see if there are issues with DeltaV databases in domain installations. This configuration is common on most large DeltaV installations.
I suggest calling the DeltaV technical support team at 1-800-833-8314 (or your local country number at - http://www.emersonprocess.com/systems/support/RateCard.pdf) to determine the cause of the issue.
Regards,
Jim Cahill

Database has nothing to do with domain or work group. This problem can be due to the window or the software installed.
