We have SIMPLEX MARK V system installed on GE frame 5 turbine. We found an intermittent “Diagnostic alarm” while turbine was running smoothly following sequence of alarm was seen:
U SA P DROP DESCRIPTION
T2 0* C 1896 Voter mismatch, <Z> L3CRZ
T2 0* C 1864 Voter mismatch, <Y> L3CRZ
T2 1* C 1832 Voter mismatch, <X> L3CRZ
First of all “Voter mismatch <Z>” appeared for a moment and went away. Then “Voter mismatch <Y>” appeared and disappeared after a while. Similar thing happened to “Voter mismatch <Z>”. Now the situation is that alarms are gone and turbine is running (Turbine didn’t trip during whole of process). Kindly share your experience if anyone faced such problem and especially if you can comment on
1. What could be the cause of this problem?<br>
2. How can we solve this problem?<br>
3. Can we keep turbine running in this situation?
An early reply is appreciated.
