Alarming Scenario

Can anyone list a good, reliable, TESTED Alarming Scenario software-hardware that dials out alarms and annunciates the alarms over the phone, with Allen Bradley PLCs or VOIP? We use a Dialogic voice card right now, and it's not really working that well. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, it's not a consistent solution.

Thanks.

I have used the product "TeleDac Win911" by Specter Instruments (http://www.specterinstruments.com) with good results. The application uses DDE to reference alarm states and limits sourced from any other DDE compatible application (in my case it was WonderWare InTouch). I'm not sure whether or not it will interface directly with an A-B processor. However, if you have an attached HMI you would be good to go. The application will dial out to alphanumeric pagers, and also has an extensive english-language set of audible words and phrases for dialing out audible annunciations. I believe it can also be configured for "dial-back" to allow the user to make process/logic changes.

I have Wonderware's SCADAlarm. It has worked very well for me. It can send messages to alpha-numeric pagers, cell phones, email, and texts if you email to your phone. You can only acknowledge through the cell phone call though. You can setup numerous operators, each with their own schedule of when they are on duty and how to get hold of them. You can set your own menus in the phone conversion and all your alarms are automatically imported from your existing wonderware tagname database.

I suggest testing it out.

Try SCADAGuard, we have this and WIN911. I prefer it over Win911. It is incredibly easy to configure, provides text to speech, and e-mails or texts the alarm. It can also publish a web page that shows analog and digital points in your system...view only, no control.
