I am working on Profibus DP-v1 as Fieldbus for communication with DCS 800xA, but sometimes the loop becomes unstable. As a result all nodes connected in that loop show a communication error. I can check the loop for termination, loose connection, faulty connector (vipa RS485) or nodes manually. Is there any other device or solution (except Siemens BT200 tester) to check if the loop and error can be rectified online?

Please reply with possible solutions.

Basically, this device allows you to see all the traffic on your network - not just the devices on your network, but what data is being sent to where. With this, you should be able to find the cause of the instability. We've been using it for years.
