anybody have experience in transformers. We found in our 45MVA transformer while annual shutdown that the lower core bolts were sheared. I am not able to understand what may be the reasons. It is nearly 20 yrs old trafo working very nicely. Even before we opened it we were not knowing about this shearing of bolts.
Is is because these are M-steel bolts?
