I'm having problems figuring out how to size restriction orifice plates. Actually what my basic requirement is to find the sizing parameters for a restriction orifice which would give me a permanent pressure drop of 3-4 bars across it.
The fluid is basically boiler feed water (de-min) at 33 bars.
The temperature is 115 deg centigrade.
The discharge line size of the pump is 2" and the pump is multistage-centrifugal type.
I'm not quite sure how to start with doing this... can you guys please guide me???
Best Regards,
Slevin
