We have used this on DeltaV NT machine, I think you just need the special 3rd party video card that takes 2 monitors. A bit tricky to get going but well worth the effort.

I think that you had to be at least 7.3 or 8.4 version, check easydeltav.com.

Dear Mr. Ferguson,
Thank you for your reply.
Delta V 6.3 or greater does not require licence.(refer to Product data sheet-dual monitor workstation) I want to know more detailed about configuration Delta V to have this feature, our version is 6.3,so I only have to do required configuration.
Would you please help me?
Best regards,
vahid

There is a "user settings file that you have to modify to tell it that you are using dual monitors". When you go into this file there is very good documentation within the file on what to do here. But my suggestion if you have not worked in this area is to take the "Advanced Graphics" class offered by Emerson. There is a lot in this file and it can effect your overall system.
In books online they talk about what to do as well as the documentation within the user settings file.
If I remember right, you take a comment out of a line in the file and dual monitors work. There are some other things that you can do within the file to decide if individual contrrol screens open on which monitor and whether the popups come up in the middle, on the left or right as well as some other modifications.
But once you make these modifications although it has been a while, it just works.

Dear Mr. Ferguson,
I am very sorry to take your time. May I ask you to help me about some issues?
1 - In case of using Dual monitor feature, could we set each monitor to show a page? I mean operator could have two independent pages on both monitors? In other words can the operator select one page in one monitor and choosing another page in the second monitor?
2 - If we set the "Multi-Monitor Initialization" in user setting file and install a vedio card with output ports, could we have dual monitor?
3 - In addition to the following statement:
"frsVariables.gn_mh_disabled.currentvalue =1"
is it required to make more changes?
I would greatly appreciate if one could help me.

Vahid

Hello,
Additionally to graphic card, probably you will need a license for dual monitor system. It depends on Delta V version. You have mentioned that your operating system is NT, so I suppose that Delta V version is 5 or maybe 6. If 5 I am completely sure that license will be required.
