Load Dispatch Executive

I work in a power plant in Malaysia. The Turbines we are operating here are GE Frame 6 Gas Turbines of about 35 MW. There are 4 of those here and are being operation since 2005.

My question is: In the recent months we are experience the Gas Turbines are having problems with the compressor bleed valves. All 4 Gas Turbines are showing problems like, bleed valve trouble signal on start up. Other problems are also showing as bleed valve trouble trip on shut down. Problems are arising on start up and on shut down.

Is this a common practice to replace the bleed valves as a matter of course at each inspections. Is there a solution to this problems without replacing the bleed valves.

I appreciate any advice on this matter.

Thank You.

Regards,

Pritpal

The subject of this post is "Load Dispatch Executive" but the content is the same as another posting "Compressor Bleed Valve" opened by another gentleman with the same first name....

To answer a question in this post which was not in the other posting cite, it is not common practice to have to replace compressor bleed valves so frequently.
