I have a Panelview 1000 with a RS232 port with DH485 protocol. I need an standard DH485 connector to connect to. Is it possible to make a cable that will convert the RS232 (DH485) to a standard AB DH485 connector? I can purchase a new Panelview that will come with the DH485 connector but if I can make a change over cable I could save $.

 

You can't, but AB has several options to do this. They aren't free but are not real pricey either.
