Delta V and AN-6100C Annunciator
Engineering and workplace issues. topic
Posted by Mike on 20 October, 2008 - 7:15 am
We have a DeltaV control system that uses the serial link (Modbus RTU) on an Ametek AN-6100C annunciator panel to send and receive alarms. The DeltaV is setup as the master and the annunciator is the slave. The problem I am having is that when the lamp test on the AN-6100C is pressed, it floods the DeltaV system with alarms and causes the process to shut down. I've had a look at the Ametek configuration software and can't see anything about it sending data when the lamp test is pressed. Does anyone have any ideas?

Communicate using RS485 protocol or others?
