I am trying to find a solution to fitting 2 S7-417H PLCs on a redundant rack but only running 1 ProfiBus network in the field.

How do you connect the 2 networks from the Primary & Secondary PLCs to the single field network?

The component you are looking for is called a Y-link and is available from Siemens. It basically acts like a DP-DP repeater and creates a link between a redundant Profibus (2 Profibus networks) and a single Profibus.
