Hydraulic oil flood control valve
Engineering and workplace issues. topic
Posted by Scott Lawrence on 25 October, 2008 - 9:22 am
Hello there,
i have been given the task of fitting a 4" pressure control valve into a hydraulic oil pipe. The valve needs to shut off if there is a pressure drop down stream, caused by a burst, to prevent flooding.

Are there any valves on the market that do this or will i have to put a pressure gauge farther down the pipe to link to the valve and send a signal?

You want an excess flow valve - eg
