Seeking Free Orifice Calculation Software
Information resources, documentation. topic
Posted by Carlos Alvarez on 1 November, 2008 - 4:05 pm
Hello to all!
I teach an undergraduate course on Industrial Measurements in a technical college one of whose topics is flow measurement including orifice calculations. We teach the theory behind the calculations and perform those by hand. I am preparing a paper for my students and I would like to offer them a basic free orifice calculation software, without infringing any copyrights.

I would like to know if anyone of you knows such a tool and how to get it, plus the permissions required. We would need liquid, gas and steam calculations for orifice diameter, flow and DP, preferably in both imperial and metric units. We would give full credit to the author(s) and give details on how to purchase a more advanced version, if it exists.

Thanks for your help.

FESizer http://www.control-soft.com/fewin32.html is a very comprehensive package - I've used it myself in the same application.

Bruce.
